Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions outline the agreement between RK Decor (“we”, “us”, “our”) and the customer (“you”, “your”). By booking our services, you agree to the following:

1. Services Provided

RK Decor offers residential and commercial painting and decorating services, including but not limited to:

  • Interior and exterior painting

  • Wallpaper installation and removal

  • Surface preparation

  • Spray painting

  • Dustless sanding

  • General decorating work

We reserve the right to update or change our service offerings at any time.

2. Estimates & Quotes

  • All quotations are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days.

  • Quotes are based on the information provided at the time of inspection or enquiry.

  • Any changes to the scope of work may result in a revised quote.

  • Unexpected issues (e.g., damp, structural problems, loose plaster) discovered during the job may require additional work and charges. We will always discuss this with you first.

3. Booking & Deposits

  • A deposit may be required to secure your booking, depending on the scale of the project.

  • Deposits are non-refundable once the job has been scheduled and materials have been ordered.

  • Work dates are confirmed only once the deposit (if required) has been received.

4. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due upon completion of the work, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Larger projects may require staged payments.

  • Payments can be made via bank transfer, cash, or any method agreed in advance.

  • Late payments may incur fees or interest in line with UK Late Payment legislation.

5. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Cancellations must be made at least 7 days before the scheduled start date.

  • Cancellations made less than 7 days before the job may incur a charge to cover lost time or materials purchased.

  • We reserve the right to reschedule work due to unforeseen circumstances such as illness, extreme weather, or supply issues. We will always aim to minimise disruption.

6. Customer Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide access to the property at agreed times

  • Ensure the work area is clear of furniture and personal items, unless otherwise pre-arranged

  • Inform us of any hazards, structural issues, or relevant information before work begins

  • Provide electricity, water, and reasonable working conditions

RK Decor is not responsible for damage to items left in working areas that were not moved or protected by the customer.

7. Materials & Colours

  • We use high-quality paints and materials suitable for the required finish.

  • Colour choices must be confirmed before work begins.

  • We cannot be held responsible for colour differences caused by lighting, surface texture, or customer-supplied products.

8. Workmanship Guarantee

We take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.

  • All labour is guaranteed for 12 months from the completion date.

  • This warranty excludes damage caused by external factors such as leaks, structural movement, damp, or customer negligence.

9. Health & Safety

We take health and safety seriously and adhere to current UK regulations.
Please keep children, pets, and bystanders away from work areas for their safety.

10. Liability

  • We hold full public liability insurance.

  • We are not liable for pre-existing issues, hidden defects, or damage resulting from conditions outside our control.

  • We are not responsible for delays caused by third-party contractors, suppliers, or unforeseen circumstances.

11. Photographs & Marketing

With your permission, RK Decor may take before-and-after photos of completed work for use on our website or social media. No personal or identifying details will be shared.

12. Complaints & Disputes

If you are unhappy with any aspect of our work, please let us know as soon as possible so we can resolve the issue promptly.
